I’m chopinliszt27, and I will be posting on here frequently in an attempt to gather together those of you who are interested primarily in coding and music production. This is my second WordPress blog, and although I’m new to coding and music production, I think I will have fun posting about my adventures in these subjects. I think comments are enabled on here, so feel free to post your thoughts. I don’t expect many visits on here, but I did get nearly 2000 hits on another blog of mine (on a different site), so…we’ll see how this works out!
I have started learning about coding, and would like to use this blog to document my progress. Thus far, I haven’t done much, but I am enrolled in a Python class and am currently interested in the coding games I’ve found on repl (https://repl.it).
I love music, whether that be playing classical piano (mostly the Romantics), playing guitar (mostly rock), or listening to my favorite rock bands (like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Cage the Elephant, Third Eye Blind, Jane’s Addiction, etc.). I think music technology and DAWs like Logic Pro X are awesome. I’m taking a class on how to use Logic, so I’ll update as I learn more.
I’m very interested in mathematics, and am currently reading Pinter’s book on Abstract Algebra. Pure math sometimes seems to be overshadowed by applied math, hence my focus on learning pure math (although I still love any kind of math and would like to learn different programming languages). If anyone would like to post an interesting problem in the comments, feel free to do so!
Literature is also important. It makes us realize that we are not alone, and that there is never anything new under the sun. I like the classics (Homer, Herodotus, Plato, Sophocles, Virgil, Livy, Sallust, Pompey, Caesar, Shakespeare, Dante, and more modern writers or biographers such as Alan Walker, who wrote the series about Liszt).
Other things: I’m still figuring out how to use this site, but if I can enable contributors on here, I would love to have others post on here about anything interesting they might like.
